28mm Anglo Saxon Burgh

Description

The latest release of a set of buildings in our 28mm Dark Ages range is the Anglo Saxon Burgh.

The set will be available as an unpainted or painted kits. There will also be a fully etched stone version or a cheaper version with only corner, window and doorway etching. If you plan to texture the model the latter version will be the best option.

The set consists of the following-
4 x Corner towers
2 x Main gates,
2 x minor gates
8 straight ramparts

The model shown is a painted version. Figures shown are 28mm Vikings.

TIP- The towers and gates on the painted versions are prepainted an ivory colour. They can be left with the laser burn marks and dry brushed or wiped clean leaving some weathering under, for example, windows and upper doorways.

This set was designed by Mick Nichol using Osprey books on the subject as a guide. I’ll be adding some pictures of his completed model when its finished. These pictures have now been added. As can be seen it has been mounted on a base with a ditch sculpted into it. He has added 2 extra ramparts to each side compared to the standard set.
